WoodGreen Animals Charity – Construction Time-Lapse

Last year we installed a Time-lapse camera at Wood Green Animals charity. We installed a 4m mast to mount the camera on to get a great view of the site. The video below is a progress update from the site so far. As all of the images are uploaded to our server we can edit progress update videos at any stage of the project.

The camera captured images in 4 minute intervals from 8am till 5pm, uploading to the server every 10 minutes.

The new cat centre at Wood Green animal shelter will be a great addition to the site.

“Cats are coming to Wood Green with more complex needs, so it’s vital that we invested in our facilities to adapt and give every cat the best possible care. It marks a big step towards turning our Godmanchester site into a ‘Centre of Excellence’.

What improvements are being made?

  • Larger, more adaptable units – complete with connecting doors and more space than we can provide at the moment.
  • ‘Catios’ – enabling cats to access the outdoors safely and give them more freedom, which is vital for our long-termers.
  • Climate control – giving us the ability to control the temperature of each block according to a cats’ needs and ensure all year-round comfort.
  • Solid walls – offering cats extra privacy, peace and quiet, which is especially helpful for nervous felines.
  • Enhanced vet check room – making us less dependent on our surgery facilities.
  • Observation cameras – allowing our team to easily monitor the cats and tend to them quicker if they need us.”

Watching a Time Lapse video can provide some serious inspiration and pride for what construction teams can accomplish together. This is a great example.
